Do I need to have completed the Paddle Power Foundation program first?

No, the Paddle Power Accelerator works great as a standalone program or as a follow-up to the Paddle Power Foundation. It's designed for any serious surfer who wants to dramatically improve their paddling performance, regardless of previous training experience.

Do I need access to a gym?

Yes, this program is designed for those with access to a well-equipped gym. The strength and power development components require weights and specific equipment to maximize results. However, we do provide some alternative exercises for those with limited equipment.

How much time will this take each week?

The full program includes 2 strength sessions (45-60 minutes each), 2 conditioning sessions (20-30 minutes each), and 1 optional recovery session (5-10 minutes). In total, that's about 2.5-3.5 hours per week, which can be spread across 3-5 days depending on your schedule.

What if the surf is pumping?

Simply put the program on hold and get in the water! As soon as conditions go flat or become unfavourable, get back to the training. If the surf is consistently good, we recommend completing just the 2 gym-based sessions as a minimum and not doing the conditioning work. But if you're not in the water regularly, we highly recommend doing all 4 sessions on top of any surfing if you can.

How soon will I see results?

Most surfers notice improvements in their paddling endurance within the first 2-3 weeks. Significant strength and power gains typically become apparent around weeks 4-6. By the end of the 8-week program, you'll have measurable improvements in all aspects of your paddling performance. The key is consistency and commitment to the program.

Is there support if I have questions?
